As an important business development plan of OFIS, the deployment of digital terrestrial TV in the Congo
Republic was planned at the beginning of 2014 with the event of World Football Cup 2014. A new business
unit was setup under the name of Digital Network Congo (DNA) to conduct this digital terrestrial TV project
by using the brand name TNT Africa in partnership with TNT Africa Gabon. The pilot was started in summer
of 2014 with 4 DVB-T2 transponders and 60 SDTV channels. After 3 month network engineering and installation
in the field with the assistance of local technical team, the network was fully optimized with a best
coverage of main sites of the city of Pointe Noire.
OFIS is a power local company group in Congo Public. The business scope is in the IT equipment representation,
distribution of famous international brands and related service provider. The startup of the digital terrestrial TV
service opens a new page moves a big step for OFIS into the broadcast area.
