| Thailand's International Engineering Public Company (IEC), the United States' Telairity and Digital Horizon have signed an agreement to work together to implement and deploy a digital video mobile broadcasting network throughout Thailand. The project will start in Bangkok in March, and be based on CMMB (China Mobile Media Broadcast) wireless technology. Telairity was responsible for developing the three-way partnership and will be the prime systems integrator for the project.
Thailand engineering firm IEC was granted approval to implement Thailand's first mobile digital broadcasting system in 2010, in partnership with Thai state broadcaster MCOT.
Digital Horizon has built in the last two years in China 2 main CMMB networks in Beijing and in Shanghai. Digital Horizon will provide network simulation, calculation and optimization engineering service in this project. It will also supply all the RF equipments, CMMB Transmitter, Gap filler and Antenna and will be responsible for the system integration, installation, SFN tuning, etc.
